Levie was greeted by HRH Crown Prince Guillaume, the Honorable Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Deputy Prime Ministry Xavier Bettel, Consul General Luc Decker, and Consul Marc Padjan at Luxembourg House, at 17 Beekman Place in New York on September 22, 2024. Consul General Decker provided Mr. Levie a personal tour of the large townhouse estate, once owned by Irving Berlin, the most prolific and celebrated American song composer and lyricist. The visit coincided with the start of UN Week, during which Luxembourg’s leaders joined global heads of state who converged on New York for key policy addresses and meetings.
Mr. Levie discussed the next day’s itinerary with the Crown Prince, who would be receiving Honorary Membership in the Explorers Club in a formal ceremony at the club’s iconic New York headquarters. Crown Prince Guillaume expressed to Mr. Levie, his profound gratitude to the Explorers Club for the coveted award. Mr. Levie is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Explorers Club.
Mr. Levie remarked, “I was delighted to once again see my dear friends, Crown Prince Guilliaume, and Deputy Prime Minister Bettel. I also enjoyed meeting Prime Minister Frieden, Consul General Decker, and Consul Padjan, each new to their present roles.
