AIAC Mourns the Loss of the Crew of the Titan Submersible

Hamish Harding

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 1, 2023  New York, NY - American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (www.aiac.com) and its Chairman L. M. Levie extend heartfelt condolences to the families of Hamish Harding, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, who perished aboard the Titan Submersible Vessel while trying to reach the RMS Titanic.

Mr. Levie stated, “I was privileged to know Hamish Harding not only as a fellow member of the Board of Trustees of the Explorers Club, but also as a dear friend.  Hamish’s accomplishments as an entrepreneur, explorer, and philanthropist are well known and well documented.  Less known was his humility, humor, and warmth, to which I can personally attest.  He is deeply missed by all who knew him.”

When news of the Titan submersible’s disappearance first emerged in the early hours of Monday, June 19, the Trustees, Directors, Members, Officers and Staff of the Explorers Club rapidly rallied support from political, military, and business leaders in the US, Canada, UK, and the EU to aid in the search and rescue mission.  Despite a vigorous multinational effort, debris found at the site demonstrated that the Titan submersible tragically imploded in the first hours of the mission.

Mr. Levie stated “AIAC stands in solidarity with the global exploration community, honoring the memory of Hamish and his fellow passengers on the Titan.  Their courage and passion for discovery will forever inspire us all.  We honor their memory.”
