Eurosatory 2024

For Immediate Release

Paris, France – June 16, 2024 – American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (AIAC) and its affiliates attended, as exhibitor and participant, Eurosatory 2024, the largest international exhibition for land and air defense and security. The event was held from June 17-21 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, a large convention center located near Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The centre is the second-largest in France, encompassing eight exhibition buildings on 115 hectares.

Held every 2 years, Eurosatory is the premier platform for the defense and security industry, featuring products ranging from raw materials to operational systems. In 2022, the exhibition attracted over 1,700 exhibitors and approximately 62,000 visitors from 150 countries. Organized by COGES, Eurosatory provides a unique opportunity for professionals in the sector to connect, collaborate, and innovate.

AIAC companies manufacture precision components, materials, assemblies, and proprietary products for the defense industry. Production capabilities include electronic manufacturing services, casting, forging, precision machining, electrochemical machining, electrodeposition machining, fabrication, wiring and cable manufacturing, tube production, coating, plating, injfection molding, prototyping, and final assembly. Materials utilized include copper, aluminum, steel, titanium, zirconium, hastelloy, inconel, monel, magnesium, polymers, and composites. End products include jet engine disks and blades, jet plane structural components, satellite propulsion and guidance devices, helicopter rotor components, submarine masts, hatches, and nuclear power generation components, land-based vehicle structural components, and mobile electric generators for aerial defense.

BeLink Solutions (www.belink-solutions.com), an AIAC company located two hours by car or rail southwest of Paris, exhibited at Eurosatory 2024.  BeLink specializes in advanced electronic manufacturing for automotive, home, robotics, and defense and aerospace applications. The Belink Solutions exhibit was hosted by Gaetan Guillemot, CEO and Director General, Guillaume Forrestier, Sales and Marketing Director, and Colonel Bruno Duhesme (Ret.), Director of Defense Industry Sales and Marketing.  They were joined by AIAC Chairman L. M. Levie, and by Emanuel Figuereido, CEO and Director General of IP3 Plastics, an AIAC company also based in France.  BeLink and IP3 work together, offering clients one-stop-shop contract manufacturing services for products requiring integrated electronics, structural parts, and housings.

At Eurosatory 2024, Mr. Levie met with executives from AIAC companies’ customers, including Boeing, Airbus, Raytheon Technologies, GE, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, L3 Harris,  Honeywell, Rolls Royce, Thales, Leonardo, Curtiss Wright, the US Department of Defense, and the European Space Agency.

Mr. Levie also warmly greeted Cristobal Subires, Managing Director, and Leandro Olalla, VP Sales and Programs of  Malaga Aerospace Defense Electronics Systems (MADES) (www.mades.es).  He met them at MADES’ exhibit within the Spanish exhibition section of Eurosatory.  An AIAC affiliate purchased MADES in November 2015 from the Raytheon Company, substantially grew and diversified its customer base, and sold it in June 2022 to Latecoere, the large French Aerospace and Defense Group.  Mr. Levie commented, “It was great to see our good friends and colleagues, Cristobal and Leandro, who have superbly led MADES to become the gold standard in manufacturing high precision electronic guidance systems for the global defense industry.  AIAC is proud to have played a key role in the development and growth of MADES and we heartily congratulate them on their continued success.”

Mr. Levie also greeted top executives at Huber + Suhner AG, (HUBN:SW) (www.hubersuhner.com), the large, multinational electrical and optical connectivity designer and manufacturer based near Zurich.  In 2003, AIAC purchased Huber + Suhner’s Colchester, Vermont subsidiary, which was renamed Champlain Cable Corporation (www.champcable.com).   Mr. Levie remarked, “Reconnecting with our friends at Huber + Suhner was particularly poignant, because we recently celebrated the 20th year anniversary of the acquisition of Champlain Cable from Huber + Suhner.”

He continued, “Champlain Cable has achieved astonishing growth, becoming a world-class leader in the design and manufacturing of wire and cable for the auto, truck, rail, marine, and defense markets.  Champlain Cable’s journey, from a pioneering wire and cable supplier for Elon Musk’s first Tesla model to our present position as leader in the design and manufacturing of high performance wire and cable for the entire North American EV industry, has been extraordinary.  Our end customers now include Tesla, GM, Ford, Chyrsler-Fiat, Toyota, Nissan, Caterpiller, Navistar, along with the US Department of Defense.  It’s been quite a ride.”

L.M. Levie, Chairman of AIAC, stated, “Our participation in Eurosatory 2024 provided the AIAC companies an unparalleled platform to engage with industry leaders, government officials, current and potential clients and partners.  We are always eager to explore new opportunities for productive collaboration.”

The exhibition included an indoor and outdoor area, featuring a dynamic live demonstration zone where real-life applications of various defense and security products were showcased, including vehicle demonstrations and technical interventions. These demonstrations occurred twice daily and attracted about 1,000 visitors.
