AIAC in Trade and Economic Development Mission to Uzbekistan

April 5, 2024 - Tashkent, Uzbekistan — American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (AIAC) Managing Director Siobhan Sweeney-Córdova took part in a week-long trade and economic development mission to Uzbekistan, organized by His Excellency Gonzalo Fournier Conde, Ambassador of Spain.  The mission was designed to promote economic ties and foster foreign direct investment in Uzbekistan.

The delegation journeyed through Uzbekistan’s historic cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva and featured meetings with key business and political leaders and visits to heritage sites.  "The opportunity to connect with the Uzbek people and their traditions was invaluable and deeply enriching," commented Ms. Sweeney-Córdova.

A significant highlight of the visit was the concluding dinner event at the Spanish Embassy in Tashkent, attended by notable figures including the Hon. Jonathan Henick, U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan, with his wife, Dominique Laura Freire. This event celebrated the strong diplomatic and economic bonds between the US and Uzbekistan.
