AIAC AND AVARA PHARMACEUTICALS CO-SPONSOR LUNCHEON HONORING JEROME H. POWELL, CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM
New York, NY - October 19, 2023 — American Industrial Acquisition Corporation, Avara Pharmaceutical Services, and the Economic Club of New York co-sponsored a private luncheon honoring The Honorable Jerome H. Powell, Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
The event was held at the New York Hilton Midtown. Attendees began with a reception and registration at 11:15 a.m. At 12:00 p.m., Mr. Powell addressed the attendees, offering his insights into the current economic environment. His talk included remarks on inflation, the labor market, growth, monetary policy, inflation expectations, and the necessity for vigilance and caution. Following his address, Chair Powell was interviewed by David Westin of Bloomberg, during which he commented on increased economic risks from geopolitical tensions, housing construction declines, and regional bank exposure to commercial real estate.

Following Mr. Powell's address, attendees enjoyed a three-course luncheon at 1:00 p.m., providing attendees with the opportunity to engage in discussions and network.
After the luncheon event, AIAC and Avara hosted three hours of coffee and cocktails for their clients and friends on the top floor and terrace of the Metropolitan Club of New York.
