AIAC AT THE TRILATERAL COMMISSION SUMMIT IN MEXICO CITY

Mexico City, Mexico November 1 - 4, 2023 American Industrial Acquisition Corporation Chairman L. M. Levie joined fellow members at the 2023 Annual Summit Meeting of the North American Group of the Trilateral Commission, held in Mexico City.
Founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter and other prominent private citizens, the Trilateral Commission is based in Washington, D.C., Paris, and Tokyo, and consists of 400 political, academic, financial, and business leaders who meet, under Chatham House rules, to candidly discuss pressing global economic, political, and security trends and issues. The North American Group of the Trilateral Commission includes a maximum of 87 U.S. members, 20 Canadian members and, since 2000, 13 Mexican members. Trilateral members were joined by noted foreign policy scholars and government officials, who added to the vigorous exchange of ideas.

The North American Group’s sessions were relevant and riveting and our Mexican hosts were generous and hospitable. Our last Mexico City meeting was precisely four years ago, immediately prior to the start of the global pandemic, which now gratefully seems like a distant memory.”
During the Summit, members and their spouses were treated to a private tour of the National Museum of Anthropology, the largest and most visited museum in Mexico.

About the Trilateral Commission
The Trilateral Commission is a nongovernmental international organization aimed at fostering closer cooperation between Japan, Western Europe and North America.[1] It was founded in July 1973 principally by US, European, and Japanese leaders who sought to address the challenges posed by the growing economic and political interdependence between the U.S. and its allies in North America, Western Europe, and Japan.
The Trilateral Commission is headed by an executive committee and three regional chairs representing Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, with headquarters in Paris, Washington, D.C., and Tokyo, respectively. Meetings are held annually at locations that rotate among the three regions; regional and national meetings are held throughout the year. Most gatherings focus on discussing reports and debating strategy to meet the commission's aims.
The Trilateral Commission represents influential commercial and political interests. As of 2021, there were roughly 400 members, including leading figures in politics, business, media, and academia. Each country within the three regions is assigned a quota of members reflecting its relative political and economic strength.
