September 19, 2024 – Washington, DC AIAC Chairman L. M. Levie attended the Economic Club of Washington DC reception and luncheon for President Joseph R. Biden on September 19, 2024. The President was introduced by David Rubinstein, Chairman of the Economic Club of Washington and of the Carlyle Group. In his address, President Biden reviewed the progress of his administration in reviving employment and economic growth following the Covid-19 pandemic and the supply disruptions stemming from the war in the Ukraine. He noted the recent decline in inflation rate from 9% to nearly 2%, the increase in gross national product and record highs in the stock market.
